easy but very delicious
ingredients cake
with round pan
125g dark chocolate, chopped
6 eggs
125g butter
130g sugar
2 tbsp. grape juice
125g ground almonds
125g flour
8g vanilla sugar
7g backing powder
1 pinch of salt
ICING
double cream 500ml
milk chocolate500g, chopped
recipe
- Make the icing first Put the chocolate into a bowl. Pour the cream into a pan and heat until simmering. Take off the heat and pour it over the chocolate. Stir until the mixture is smooth. Let it Cool, until really thick but spreadable.
- separate egg yolks from egg whites and put them in two different bowls
- Bowl 1 : Mix egg yolks with 65g sugar, butter, grape juice, 2tbsp. water, vanilla sugar & salt until the mixture is smooth.
- Bowl 2 :Mix egg whites until they are stiff then add the rest of sugar while mixing.
- Bowl 3 :Mix chopped dark chocolate with flour, ground almonds and backing powder.
- Pour slowly while mixing the mixture of bowl 2 to bowl 1 and then carefully pour bowl 3 as well while mixing.
- Heat the oven to 175C/fan 160C/gas 4.
- Coat the entire inside of your pan (prepare 2 pans ) with butter then Sprinkle your greased pan with flour and Shake and rotate the pan until it is completely dusted with it .
- Divide the mixture between the 2 pans and Bake on the same shelf in the oven for 20-25 minutes.
- Once your cake is baked, let it cool in the pans for 10-15 minutes. If any of the edges of the cake appear stuck, run a knife around the cake to loosen. Then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely. Let it cool down for 2 hours.
- Cut each in half horizontally so that you have 4 layers.
- Sandwich the layers together with icing, then spread the rest on top thickly.
